Does it work with Squarespace 7.0 and 7.1?

Yes. Both versions serve normal public pages, and the crawler works from what visitors see. The theme report shows which version and template hints it detected.

Squarespace 7.0 (templates such as Brine, Bedford, and Pacific) and 7.1 (the single template with the Fluid Engine editor) both publish standard pages, and both work the same way with us. The free backup detects the version and, on 7.0, the template family, and lists them in the theme report.

The one difference worth knowing: 7.1 sites rely on more scripts for layout, so the full-page screenshot is taken by a real browser after the page has fully loaded and scrolled. The HTML copy is what the server sent. Both are in the zip.
