Are password-protected or member pages included?

No. We only see what a visitor sees, so pages behind a password or a member login are not in the backup. Public pages are.

We back up sites without a login, which means we get exactly what an anonymous visitor gets. A page with a Squarespace page password, a site behind a site-wide password, and member areas all show a login screen to visitors, so that is all we could capture, and we skip them instead.

If a page matters and it is currently behind a password, you have two options:

• Take the password off for the day of the backup (the 1st), then put it back.
• Save that page yourself from a logged-in browser with Save As, and keep the file next to your backups.

Everything else on the site, including the pages that link to the protected one, is backed up as usual.
