What data do you store about me?

Your email, your site address, your plan and its Stripe identifiers, and the backups themselves. No password, no card number, and no raw visitor addresses.

For a subscriber:

• The email you used at checkout, the site address, the plan, and when it started, cancelled, or is next due.
• Stripe's identifiers for the customer and subscription, so we can cancel and match receipts. Card numbers never reach us; Stripe holds them.
• The backups, in private storage, for as long as the retention rules say.
• Basic product analytics (which pages of our site were used), if you did not block them.

For a free backup: the address you pasted and the resulting files, for 7 days, plus an email if you chose to leave one. Rate limits use a one-way hash of your connection's address, kept for two days, never the address itself.

We never have a Squarespace password, and we do not sell or share any of this. To have everything removed, write to hello@deadsimplebackups.com.
