When do backups run?

The first backup runs right after checkout. After that, one backup runs on the 1st of every month and the private link is emailed the same day.

Two moments:

1. Right after checkout. The first backup starts within a couple of minutes, so you have a copy from day one.
2. The 1st of every month. The worker backs up every subscriber's site during the day (UTC) and emails each private link when its backup is done.

There is no backup on demand between those dates at the moment. If you are about to make a large change and want a copy first, the free backup on the homepage captures one page, and the monthly copy from the 1st is in your dashboard.

You can turn the monthly emails off in the dashboard. Backups keep running; you just stop getting the email, and every backup stays listed in the dashboard.
